How to use the white background remover online

01

Load a logo or photo with a white backdrop

Open a still image and examine its corners. The white preset starts the key; the eyedropper can sample an off-white shade from the actual background.

02

Limit the key to the outer white background

Use the outside-connected selection to keep enclosed white artwork. Increase tolerance slowly for gray edges and JPEG artifacts, checking highlights and pale subject details.

03

Inspect on a dark color and export PNG

A dark temporary background makes white fringes visible. Refine edge softness, then return to transparent and export PNG or WebP to preserve the cutout.

Make a white logo background transparent without erasing every white pixel

A white backdrop is different from a saturated green screen because the subject may contain white lettering, highlights, or pale fabric. Outside-connected removal starts from matching pixels at the canvas boundary and follows adjoining matching regions. This can preserve white areas enclosed within artwork.

It is a color-and-connectivity rule, not object recognition. White details joined to the outer background may still disappear, while isolated white holes can remain. Compare the original and result and choose the all-matching mode only when removing white everywhere is intentional.

Clean near-white image backgrounds and JPEG edge artifacts

A scanned graphic or JPG may use several near-white and light-gray shades instead of a pure #ffffff backdrop. Sample the actual background and raise tolerance in small steps. Excessive tolerance can eat into gray shadows or pale foreground colors.

A little softness can reduce a hard edge, but too much makes small text and fine lines faint. Despill is intended for green or blue color casts and is not a way to restore white highlights. This tool cannot perfectly isolate a white object on a white background without visible color separation.

White background remover questions and answers

Formats, useful settings, and the details that affect your result.

How do I remove a white background from a logo online?+

Open the logo, sample its white or off-white backdrop, use outside-connected removal, and inspect small letters. Choose transparent and export PNG after checking the edge on a dark color.

Will this preserve white lettering inside my logo?+

It can preserve matching white regions that are not connected to the canvas boundary. Lettering joined to the surrounding white may still be removed; inspect the preview before export.

Why do white holes remain inside an object?+

Outside-connected mode deliberately protects matching regions enclosed by other colors. Use all-matching removal when those holes should also become transparent, then check white foreground details.

Can it remove white from a photograph of a white product?+

Only where the backdrop can be distinguished by color and connectivity. It does not perform AI segmentation, and similar white foreground pixels can be affected.

Why is there a gray or white outline after removal?+

Compressed or anti-aliased edges contain near-white shades. Adjust the sampled color, increase tolerance cautiously, and add modest softness while watching fine details.
