Add your blue screen image or video
Choose footage or a photo with a blue backdrop. Before keying, look for blue clothes, logos, eyes, or props that need to remain in the finished composition.
Remove a blue screen from images or video while keeping green subjects. Sample the backdrop, refine blue edges, and choose your export background.

The blue preset is a starting point. Use the eyedropper for your backdrop's shade, increase tolerance gradually, and reduce reflected blue at the edge with spill reduction.
Inspect plants, green clothing, hair, and shadows against a contrasting background. Images can be exported with transparency; video needs an opaque color or image composition.
A blue screen is useful when the subject includes leaves, green costumes, packaging, or other green details. The key compares the selected blue with the source; it does not automatically identify the subject. Blue details in the foreground need the same care that green details need on a green screen.
Sample the main backdrop rather than its darkest shadow. Uneven lighting can spread the background across many shades, making the removal less selective. If a higher tolerance starts to affect the subject, lower it and improve the sample before continuing.
Blue light reflected onto pale fabric or glossy props can remain after the background disappears. Spill reduction suppresses excess blue near the keyed color. Edge softness helps the transparency transition, but excessive softness may create a blurred outline.
For video, inspect more than one frame and pay attention to movement. The source's codec and your browser determine whether it can be decoded, and the video export is an opaque recording. For an image cutout intended for another editor, choose transparent PNG or WebP instead.

It can be. Choose a backdrop color absent from important subject details. A blue screen keeps green details easier to separate, but blue clothing or props create a similar problem.
No. The preset is a starting point; sample your screen with the eyedropper for a key that matches the actual footage.
First refine the key to remove remaining background pixels. Then use a small amount of softness and blue spill reduction, checking that pale details do not become dull.
No. Transparent output is available for PNG or WebP images. Video exports use an opaque composition with a color or still-image background.
The logo is close to the background's key color. Lowering tolerance may help, but a color-based key cannot reliably distinguish matching foreground and background pixels.
