Select a preset, a custom color, or Custom image. The uploaded image fills the canvas using a centered crop, so use a background with room around its important details.
Check lighting, contrast, and the subject's edges against the new scene. Export PNG, WebP, or JPG for a still image, or record an opaque MP4 or WebM for supported video.
The source sets the canvas dimensions. A replacement image is scaled to cover that canvas and cropped centrally when its aspect ratio differs. A portrait background in a wide video can lose its top and bottom; a wide photo in a portrait canvas can lose its sides.
Prepare a background with a similar aspect ratio when exact framing matters. Keep faces, text, and other important elements away from the edges. This editor does not provide manual background positioning or a second video layer.
Choose a background whose lighting and perspective suit the subject. A softly lit face against a harshly lit scene can look pasted in even when the matte is clean. A neutral color is useful for checking the key before choosing the final scene.
Keying is still based on color. Replacing a backdrop does not add AI segmentation for a busy room or street. If the source has no distinct screen, a color selection may also remove parts of the subject. Use the original/result comparison and review the downloaded composition.

Yes. Remove the screen, select Custom image, and choose a local PNG, JPG, or WebP photo. The photo is scaled and centered to fill the source canvas.
The background uses a cover fit. If its aspect ratio differs from the source, it is enlarged until the canvas is filled and the excess is cropped from the center.
The current editor centers the background automatically. Crop your background to the intended aspect ratio beforehand when you need more control over which area is visible.
You can key another distinct solid color, but the tool does not perform AI segmentation. A busy scene or colors shared by the subject are difficult to separate accurately.
